An exciting new role has been created to support significant growth and increased demand. This is a fantastic opportunity to work directly with M&S on high-impact projects, while being part of a supportive, close-knit technical team. The role will involve travel across UK sites, suppliers, and global manufacturing hubs, providing excellent exposure and variety.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Building and maintaining customer relationships with M&S technical teams
• Attending M&S meetings, benchmarking sessions, and conferences (both in the UK and internationally)
• Supporting audits and site visits, working closely with site Technical Managers
• Responding to M&S information requests on products, processes, supply chains, investigations, and sustainability topics
• Keeping M&S systems and documents updated in collaboration with Specification Technologists
• Managing and reporting customer KPIs
• Handling customer and consumer complaints effectively
• Supporting enrolment of new sites as M&S approved sites where required
• Acting as the point of contact for NPD/EPD projects, coordinating trials with site and head office teams
• Providing technical advice and support across internal departments including commercial and product development

What’s required?

• Degree in Biological Sciences or a related discipline
• 5+ years’ experience in short shelf-life foods or horticulture
• Experience working with M&S and detailed knowledge of their requirements and standards
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety systems, and auditing processes
• High standard of IT literacy with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Ability to interpret and communicate complex technical information clearly to different stakeholders
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
