Following a period of restructuring, this position now holds full technical accountability for the site. It’s a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with significant growth ahead, offering genuine long-term progression for a driven technical leader who can influence culture, raise standards, and drive performance across food safety and quality.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Leading and embedding a strong food safety and quality culture across the site
• Owning and delivering site technical KPIs and continuous improvement objectives
• Providing senior technical leadership within site leadership forums and cross-functional meetings
• Supporting and leading third-party and customer audits, including BRC
• Managing and developing the site technical services function to ensure robust compliance systems
• Overseeing the internal audit programme and ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented
• Playing an active role in HACCP, TACCP and VACCP teams
• Managing document control, traceability exercises, and microbiological surveillance programmes
• Investigating customer complaints and implementing effective corrective and preventative actions
• Managing external service providers linked to food safety and hygiene
• Working closely with NPD and quality teams to support product launches and customer quality agreements
• Supporting technical training activities and promoting a culture of continuous improvement

What’s required?

• Proven experience in a senior technical or quality management role within food manufacturing
• Strong working knowledge of BRC standards, food safety systems, and retailer requirements
• Experience leading audits and managing technical compliance on site
• HACCP experience and involvement in food safety risk assessment systems
• Confident leadership style with the ability to influence across operations and senior teams
• A proactive, resilient approach suited to a fast-moving manufacturing environment
