You’ll be the technical compliance lead on site, working closely with the Head of Technical and wider teams in a supportive, people-focused environment where professional development and work–life balance are genuinely valued.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage all customer technical activity, including specifications, technical queries, new line forms, and CoA/CoC issuance.
• Take ownership of all printed packaging processes, ensuring legal accuracy of both external artwork and internal labels.
• Approve all new printed packaging versions prior to first use.
• Maintain documentation within the Quality Management System and support continuous improvement.
• Complete scheduled traceability tests and internal audits according to the audit plan.
• Raise supplier non-conformance reports and secure corrective actions.
• Manage the supplier and raw material risk assessment and approval process.
• Maintain electronic administration of CoA/CoC documentation based on risk assessment.
• Ensure the Internal Audit Schedule is fully completed and on time.
• Identify changes in legislation relating to food manufacturing, raw materials, packaging, and communicate updates to the Head of Technical.
• Highlight trends or emerging risks based on technical data.
• Support wider technical activities and complete reasonable tasks as required.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements, maintaining safe working practices and reporting any incidents or near misses.
What We’re Looking For
• Strong technical understanding within food manufacturing, ideally in a QA/Technical/Compliance capacity.
• Experience with specifications, packaging approvals, internal auditing, and supplier assurance.
• Knowledge of food safety, quality systems, traceability, and technical documentation.
• High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and confidence managing documentation.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
• Competent with Microsoft Office and technical administration systems.
• Understanding of HACCP, traceability systems, and QMS structures.
• A proactive, inquisitive mindset with the ability to identify risks and drive improvements.
