As a Senior NPD Technologist, you’ll be at the heart of innovation, driving the development of a diverse and premium seafood range for Tesco and Waitrose. You’ll play a key role in delivering concept-to-launch development across multiple chilled and frozen categories, working closely with both retailers and internal stakeholders. Reporting directly to the Head of NPD, you'll collaborate with colleagues across technical, commercial, and process teams to bring new products to life. You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Leading NPD projects from concept to launch across Tesco and Waitrose accounts.
• Managing the development of a wide and innovative seafood product range.
• Owning the sourcing of new ingredients and packaging formats.
• Gathering accurate costing data in line with NPD briefs.
• Communicating supplier information clearly across all development stages.
• Supporting feasibility meetings to assess product viability and costings.
• Handing over complete specifications to the Process team to ensure smooth factory trials.
• Participating in Stage & Gate meetings and ensuring timelines are met.
• Driving innovation in line with customer expectations and business strategy.
• Collaborating cross-functionally to deliver first-class products on time and to brief.

What’s required?

• Proven track record in at least one NPD management or senior technologist role.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in product development within food manufacturing.
• Strong background working with major UK retailers, ideally Tesco or Waitrose.
• Confident presenting to retail product developers and managing relationships.
• Experience in seafood NPD is highly desirable.
• Degree-level capability in Food Science or related subject.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• A full UK driving licence.
