Are you an NPD professional looking for an opportunity to work across multiple chilled food projects within a fast-paced retailer-facing environment?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing NPD team supporting the delivery of innovative chilled products from concept through to launch. Working closely with both internal teams and external customers, you’ll gain strong exposure across customer submissions, factory trials, product validation, benchmarking, and launch activity while supporting multiple retailer projects within a fast-moving chilled category environment.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Supporting NPD projects through the full concept-to-launch process
• Managing customer sample submissions, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are achieved
• Supporting factory trials, validations, and launch activity
• Assisting with reformulation and continuous improvement projects
• Preparing samples and supporting customer presentations where required
• Maintaining accurate project documentation, specifications, and workflow systems
• Supporting benchmarking, product evaluations, and award submissions
• Communicating effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams throughout projects
• Working cross-functionally with technical, operations, and commercial teams to support successful launches
• Supporting product testing including organoleptic, shelf-life, and validation activity
• Managing multiple projects and priorities within a fast-paced environment

What’s required?

• Degree in Food Science or a related discipline
• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience within food manufacturing or NPD
• Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and technical compliance
• Experience within chilled, meat, or added-value categories would be advantageous
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Solutions-focused mindset with a proactive approach
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Experience using NPD or workflow management systems would be beneficial
