We're hiring a Senior NPD Technologist to join our client’s innovative and fast-paced food manufacturing team in Manchester. This is a permanent role with a focus on customer-facing NPD account management, offering the chance to work on exciting innovation projects in collaboration with leading brands.

You’ll play a key part in leading projects from concept through to launch, managing timelines, motivating your team, and driving best-in-class food innovation, this is a great opportunity to grow your career while delivering results in a high-impact role.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Working closely with customers to deliver their food strategy
  • First-line management of NPD Technologists within the category
  • Managing and motivating the internal team to ensure all projects remain on the critical path
  • Leading the food range from concept through to handover to process, ensuring all products meet key stage requirements
  • Ensuring best-in-class product developments that meet brand requirements and are submitted professionally
  • Benchmarking and maintaining quality standards across the range
  • Completing all sample submission forms and internal feasibilities with relevant stakeholders
  • Accurately costing projects to ensure they meet commercial briefs set by the buying team or Commercial NPD Manager
  • Ensuring timely and accurate completion of all administration, reports and documentation
  • Delivering, operating and maintaining activities to ensure food safety, quality, legality, and product integrity across all site operations
  • Supporting other reasonable tasks as requested by your line manager

What’s required?

  • Degree educated (or working towards this)
  • Demonstrable experience within the food manufacturing industry
  • Passion for food, creativity, and a desire to raise the bar for frozen category innovation
  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Highly motivated, accountable self-starter with resilience, tenacity, and a sense of fun
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative and open approach
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
