Are you an NPD Technologist looking to take real ownership of products from concept through to launch?

This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovation-led environment where you’ll be hands-on throughout the full development lifecycle. You’ll collaborate closely with technical, commercial, and operations teams, gaining strong exposure to customer-facing projects and factory-scale development while building depth and breadth in your NPD experience.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Supporting the delivery of NPD and EPD projects from concept through to launch.
• Translating product briefs into commercially viable, technically sound products.
• Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure critical paths are met.
• Supporting and participating in kitchen trials, pilot trials, and factory trials.
• Preparing samples for internal reviews, customer presentations, and benchmarking.
• Conducting organoleptic assessments, shelf-life testing, and product evaluations.
• Maintaining accurate product documentation, specifications, and development records.
• Supporting handover of products into manufacturing, ensuring a smooth launch process.
• Monitoring competitor products, trends, and market activity to support innovation.
• Ensuring all developments comply with food safety, quality, and customer standards.

What’s required?

• Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
• Experience within an NPD, R&D, or Technical role in food manufacturing.
• Understanding of the concept-to-launch development process.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with high attention to detail.
• Confident communicator, comfortable working cross-functionally and with customers.
• Hands-on, proactive approach with a genuine interest in food and innovation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
