Are you passionate about food innovation and ready to take ownership of projects from concept to launch?

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be involved in every stage of product development — from creative ideation to market delivery. You’ll work closely with major retail customers and internal teams to deliver exciting new products while gaining valuable cross-functional and customer-facing experience.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Supporting the wider NPD team to ensure all projects remain on time and aligned with customer expectations.
  • Partnering with internal teams across operations, technical, and commercial functions to deliver innovation.
  • Working closely with external customers to build strong relationships and ensure alignment throughout development.
  • Writing cooking and reheating instructions and compiling product attribute documentation.
  • Conducting organoleptic and shelf-life testing to validate product performance and quality.
  • Facilitating benchmarking sessions, taste panels, and product quality reviews.
  • Preparing and presenting customer samples to support presentations and trials.
  • Managing raw material stock, maintaining a clean and organised development kitchen.
  • Completing all NPD documentation and reports accurately and on time.
  • Managing logistics for air freight samples as required.

What’s required?

  • A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
  • 1–2 years’ experience in an NPD department (less considered for the right candidate).
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confident working independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Strong numeracy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • A keen interest in food trends, innovation, and product development.
  • A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across the UK and internationally.

What’s in it for you?

A competitive salary package, structured learning opportunities, and the chance to develop your career in a fast-paced, creative environment. You’ll gain exposure to global projects, work with major retail partners, and play a key role in shaping innovative new products.
