Looking to start your career in New Product Development and get hands-on exposure from day one?
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a graduate who is passionate about food and keen to build a long-term career in NPD. Working directly with senior NPD leaders, you’ll gain end-to-end exposure to the product development process within a chilled food environment, with real customer interaction and responsibility from the outset.
You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
• Supporting NPD Managers across the full product development lifecycle, from concept through to launch
• Preparing and completing customer-facing documentation, including market data forms and submission packs
• Attending supplier visits and taking part in tastings and product reviews with chefs
• Supporting customer meetings and, over time, assisting with product presentations
• Working cross-functionally with chefs, suppliers, technical and commercial teams
• Assisting with sample coordination, trials, and internal development activity
• Learning how to translate concepts into finished products that meet customer and commercial requirements
What’s required?
• A degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Food Technology, or a related discipline
• No prior industry experience required – ideal for a graduate or entry-level candidate
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required
• Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with internal teams and customers
• A proactive, enthusiastic attitude with a genuine interest in food and product development
• Organised, detail-focused, and keen to learn in a fast-paced environment
