Are you a Development Chef with food manufacturing experience looking to work on exciting innovation projects within the meals category?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing development team and play a key role in creating innovative products for leading customers. Based in Manchester, you'll combine creativity with commercial awareness, taking products from concept through to launch while working closely with internal teams and customers. The role offers regular customer interaction and would suit someone who enjoys bringing ideas to life in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Developing new products and recipes in line with customer briefs, market trends, and commercial objectives
• Supporting projects from concept through to launch, ensuring products meet quality, cost, and operational requirements
• Creating and preparing samples for internal reviews and customer presentations
• Working closely with NPD, Technical, Operations, and Commercial teams to deliver successful product launches
• Supporting factory trials and ensuring products can be successfully scaled from kitchen to production
• Benchmarking competitor products and identifying new trends and opportunities within the meals category
• Building strong relationships with customers and suppliers, travelling when required to support projects and presentations
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring development activities are completed to agreed timelines
• Contributing ideas and supporting continuous improvement across the development function

What's required?

• Previous experience within a Development Chef role in food manufacturing is essential
• A passion for food and innovation, with strong culinary skills
• Experience taking products from concept through to launch
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and factory trials
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the confidence to work directly with customers
• Excellent organisational and project management abilities
• A proactive and creative approach, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• A willingness to travel to customer sites when required
• Full UK driving licence preferred
